In the Kiev region, employees of DTEK Kiev Regional Electric Networks discovered an illegal cryptocurrency mining farm.

What is known

An attacker installed mining equipment in a dugout. The farm was located in the forest. The specialists brought a cable to her, which they found in a security building located near the transformer substation.

As it turned out, the cryptocurrency farm was connected to the regional power grid and was illegally receiving electricity. The amount of damage was over UAH 1,000,000. There is no information yet about whether the attacker was found. The Criminal Code of Ukraine presupposes up to three years in prison for theft of electricity.
