Anonymous messenger Exclu was closed during the international law enforcement operation

Exclu Starter Pack – millions of euros in cash, laboratories and criminal organizations.

The anonymous messenger Exclu was taken down last week after a series of massive raids across Europe last week. During a search of 79 properties in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland, the authorities of these countries arrested 48 people who were users, operators and administrators of the messenger Exclu .

The Exclu app, which was available as a €500 subscription for 3 months and €900 for 6 months, was widely used by organized crime and drug gangs. About it reported Dutch police.

Exclu made it possible to exchange messages, media files and notes with users who, according to the Dutch police, numbered about 3,000 before the service was shut down, 750 of whom spoke Dutch. Exclu Messenger states on its website that it has end-to-end encryption, remote device wipe capabilities, and other security features.

The Dutch police said that the Exclu messenger has been closed and no one will be able to use the Exclu services anymore. It is worth noting that the application was used not only by criminals – among the clients of the messenger were lawyers, notaries, doctors, clergy, who were given the opportunity to contact the police to remove their personal data from the Exclu database.

Along with ending the use of Exclu as a safe haven for criminals, law enforcement authorities in the Netherlands and Belgium confiscated 2 laboratories, several kilograms of illegal substances, more than €4 million in cash, “various luxury items” and several firearms.

Exclu investigation started in 2020 German police following the liquidation of the German Internet Service Provider “CyberBunker” or “CB3ROB”, which operated several criminal websites on the Internet, including The Pirate Bay and Exclu.

German authorities said the investigation into the cyberbunker had given them the data they needed to decrypt Exclu and control communications. Authorities have also identified and tracked down the developers, administrators, and owners of the service, many of whom were arrested in the raids.
