Capcom plans to break its sales records this year

The Capcom developer predicts that its sales before the end of the fiscal year will break its previous record, breaking the mark of 40 million units.

What is known

2022 has been a big fiscal year for Capcom as it released several major titles at once, such as the big Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise and Winter Expansion for Resident Evil Village, and it will soon be releasing the long-awaited Resident Evil 4 remake, which should collect the necessary the number of copies sold before the end of the financial year, which will take place at the end of March.

A new series of financial results from Capcom showcases the developer’s huge success over the last nine months of 2022. Capcom reported sales of a staggering 29.1 million games between April 2022 and December 2022, ostensibly expecting that number to rise to over 40 million by the end of March. Capcom also reportedly expects 90% of those sales to come from digital storefronts.

Well, let’s see if the publisher manages to make this “feint with the ears” and still break his previous record.
