
Dell has introduced a new thin and light laptop with top-end hardware. The novelty is called Dell XPS 17.
What is known
The laptop is equipped with a 4K+ UHD (3840 x 2400 dots) LCD display. The LCD panel occupies 93.7% of the inside of the lid, supports DisplayHDR + and has 93.7% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The diagonal is 17”.
Dell XPS 17 received 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD drive in the maximum modification. If desired, you can install a 4 TB SSD and another 32 GB memory module, increasing the total volume to 64 GB. The graphics subsystem is represented by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card, and the latest generation Core i5 / Core i7 / Core i9 chip, depending on the configuration, became the heart of the laptop.
The novelty is equipped with a 97 Wh battery with 130 W fast charging. The device is charged via USB-C. We also note Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 adapters, a microSD card slot, a headphone output and Thunderbolt 4.0 support.
Price and when to expect
The Dell XPS 17 starts at $3,749. The laptop will go on sale later this year in the US and Canada.
