Dolphin Emulator Coming to Steam

The most popular GameCube and Wii platform emulator, Dolphin, is suddenly preparing to launch on Steam.

What is known

The developer of the emulator himself announced this on his website by posting a link to his page in Steamwhere you can add it to your wishlist. The developer also claims that once released, the emulator will have a separate article detailing all processes and features. Now scheduled for release in the second quarter of this year, the emulator will immediately include useful features that its competitors have, such as increased resolution and netplay.

Dolphin launched around the same time as the Game Cube itself, in September 2003, but its development was temporarily suspended in December 2004, and then resumed again in October 2005. May 13, 2007 became an open source project (that is, anyone could use and modify the emulator). It wasn’t until 2009 that the emulator started supporting the Wii. In 2016, version 5.0 of the emulator was released, which has remained the current version ever since.
