A user has made a homemade modification to his Samsung phone to incorporate a battery that will last 5 times longer than a current. The invention takes 7 hours to fully charge.

Mobile phone batteries are getting longer lasting. It is an aspect in which the industry has been improving year after year and a field in which progress continues to be seen. Just a couple of months ago we talked about a battery that can last up to 400 yearswithout going any further, although it is true that it was going to take a while to scaling technology to current batteries.

Well, someone did not want to wait for the moment to arrive and has created a 30,000 mAh battery that you have placed in a Samsung Galaxy A32 5G like a home modification. The result is, to say the least, worth seeing… though not for the right reasons.

A battery “for life”

Just like pick up at 9to5Googlea Reddit user has created a mod that basically should last about six times longer than phones that equip a 5,000 mAh battery (as is the case with the Samsung Galaxy A32 and its standard power unit).

And 5,000 mAh it is already a battery of considerable size on most common phones. Let’s keep in mind that the usual today is between 3,500 and 4,500 mAh, and that the latest iPhone 14 Pro Max are only slightly above 4,300. Then there are monstrosities like the OUKITEL K13 Pro and its 11,000 mAhbut they are terminals that are not commonly seen (although its design is much better finished than that of this experiment, everything is said).

What this user did was, in a nutshell, buy six Samsung 50e batteries of 5,000 mAh each (which are around 10 euros according to our inquiries), group them in a closed area and incorporate it into the phone case.

The result, as you can see in the images above, it’s not pretty. It greatly increases the thickness and weight of the terminal, but as a bonus it has USB-A, USB-C, microUSB and Lightning auxiliary charging ports in case you want to connect other devices to the battery. Of course, this huge battery takes a whopping 7 hours to fully charge.
