Microsoft and Nvidia’s cloud gaming partnership is starting to pay off with Gears 5 now available on GeForce Now. Perhaps now it is only one game, but as part of the partnership, many games from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda will come to the Nvidia cloud service – for example, on May 25, three titles will join the list at once: Deathloop, Grounded and Pentiment.
The games will initially need to be purchased from Steam in order to play, but Microsoft and Nvidia are working on adding support for the Microsoft Store. It’s just not clear if the PC Game Pass subscription will be supported, although given that the subscription is through the Xbox app, you’ll probably need to buy the full game. Either way, Nvidia says support will be added “in the coming months”.
