NVIDA will start selling another GeForce RTX 40 series graphics card based on the Ada Lovelace architecture in two weeks. We are talking about the RTX 4070 model, which will cost the same as the RTX 3070 Ti.
What is known
GeForce RTX 4070 will receive an AD104-250 GPU chip with 5888 stream processors and frequencies from 1920 MHz to 2475 MHz. Performance – 29 TFLOPS.
The video card will be equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6X video memory with a 192-bit bus and a frequency of 21 GHz. The maximum memory bandwidth will be 504 GB/s. Heat dissipation requirement reached 200W.
For comparison, the Turing generation GeForce RTX 3070 Ti received 6144 CUDA cores with a frequency of 1575-1770 MHz and 8 GB of memory with a bandwidth of up to 608 GB / s. TDP is 290W.
Price and when to expect
The manufacturer’s recommended price for the GeForce RTX 4070 is $599. Thus, the novelty will be $200 cheaper than the Ti version. The previously mentioned RTX 3070 Ti costs $599. The RTX 4070 will go on sale April 13, 2023.
