The German company Quantum Systems, which manufactures unmanned aerial vehicles, has opened its representative offices in Ukraine.

What does it mean

These are service training, support and logistics centers. First of all, they will be trained in the use of Vector UAVs and their maintenance. In addition, the centers will purchase spare parts and repair damaged drones.

Since last summer, Ukraine has been actively using Quantum Systems drones, namely Vector. The company says the UAV offers unrivaled maneuverability and rapid deployment capabilities. Ready for use in 2 minutes, it provides continuous detection of enemy targets regardless of weather conditions, reaches speeds of up to 72 km/h and withstands long flight times. The manufacturer’s drones work with artificial intelligence systems that facilitate the recognition of objects during reconnaissance from the air.

Recently, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine ordered 300 medium-range reconnaissance drones of the Vector type from Quantum Systems. The delivery will be financed by the German government. Prior to this, the company has already fulfilled orders from Ukraine twice: in August 2022, it delivered 33 UAVs, and in January 2023, 105 UAVs.
