The Armed Forces of Ukraine tested the German tanks Leopard 2A6. Captured Russian T-62MV tanks were used as targets.
What is known
Tanker Andrey Nikonorov published photos from the tests. Probably, the Russian T-62MV combat vehicle was hit by a 120 mm DM-53 kinetic projectile. It was developed by Rheinmetall.
The DM-53 has a core made of tungsten and WSM IV alloy. The projectile was designed to destroy enemy armored vehicles with dynamic protection.
