Hackers demand from the creators of STALKER 2 to apologize to the Russians
Otherwise, they threaten to leak the content of the game to the Web.
A hacker group from the Russian Federation demands an apology from the creators of the game STALKER 2 to Russian and Belarusian players. This was stated by representatives of the VKontakte community “Bulletin of the same Stalker”, who put forward an ultimatum to the creators of the game, threatening to make public the content that was in their hands.
“We have a huge amount of materials on STALKER 2 on our hands, including a full-fledged story, description of cut-scenes, various concept art, global maps and much more. The volume is calculated in tens of gigabytes. We post part of it right away to show the authenticity of our words,” the hackers said.
The authors of the community stated that they “sincerely do not want to put all this in the public domain before the release of the game.” Therefore, they suggested that the developers of STALKER 2, the Ukrainian GSC Game World, “rethink their attitude towards players from Belarus and Russia, apologize for the unworthy attitude towards ordinary players from these countries.”
To prevent posting content on the Web, GSC Game World will have to change its policy towards Russian and Belarusian players, as well as return full Russian localization. Community representatives specified that they would wait for a response from the company until March 15.
Recall that the studio GSC Game World last year canceled the release of the game in Russia, and also removed the voice acting in Russian.
