Your iPhone will soon be able to display more than one small widget when the screen is locked. Of course, Apple’s iOS 17 update brings a lock screen system that effectively turns your iPhone into a smart display. Apple has declined to comment on the system. The company expects to debut iOS 17 at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) on June 5 and release the final version in September. There’s no mention of whether the iPad will have similar functionality, although iPadOS lags behind iOS in features like lock screen customization.
This may not be Apple’s only smart display initiative. The tech giant is rumored to be developing several more smart home devices. which does not include smart screens that can be installed in different places I believe the iOS 17 upgrade is part of a larger effort to bring more information to smart displays. including a new watchOS design with a focus on widgets
Rumor has it that iOS 17 has several important changes, such as sideloading apps in at least some countries.
