iOS 17 will allow you to reset your recently changed but forgotten passcode on iPhone: how does it work?

Recently Apple introduced the operating system iOS 17 for their smartphones, but so far it is only available as a beta version for developers. Therefore, it is not surprising that testers continue to find new features that Apple kept silent about during the presentation.

What’s new

Interesting and useful for many forgetful users in iOS 17 will be the reset recently changed password feature. If you have changed your password but have forgotten the new one, you have 72 hours to reset it. But this only works if you enter the old password – the one that was changed up to 72 hours ago.

For security reasons, this feature can be disabled by deleting the previous passcode in the settings.

By the way, the release of a stable version of iOS 17 is expected in the fall, along with the announcement of the iPhone 15 line of smartphones.
