Microsoft added ads to the Windows 11 Start menu again in the latest test build of the system

As noted by the publication Bleeping Computer, in the latest test build of Windows 11 KB5023778, Microsoft has again added ads to the Start menu. It seems that Windows insiders are not testing new features of the system, but ads in this very OS.

What is known

Since the update is not related to the security system, it is not required – at least for now. There are some desirable improvements here, such as improvements to Microsoft Defender, but users clearly don’t expect new ways to display ads. Of course, Microsoft doesn’t call them ads, but prefers to use the term notifications instead. They will appear right on the Start menu and tell you everything about Microsoft products, just like regular ads.

You can only install this preview update from Settings > Windows Update, by clicking the Download and Install button after checking for updates, or by manually downloading and installing it from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
