Motorola has unveiled a new generation of foldable Razr smartphones. The flagship is called the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.

What is known

The smartphone received two AMOLED displays with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and support for HDR10 +. The main screen is based on a 6.9” LTPO matrix with a resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels. The secondary screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. It has a resolution of 1056 x 1066 pixels and a diagonal of 3.6″.


The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. The chip is complemented by 8/12 GB of RAM, and the storage capacity is 256/512 GB. The power subsystem is represented by a battery with a capacity of 3800 mAh.

The smartphone received a dual main camera with optical stabilization and a resolution of 12 MP + 13 MP, but without a telephoto lens. The selfie camera is based on a 32 MP sensor. Both cameras can shoot video in 4K UHD at 60 FPS.


The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra has stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and IP52-rated splash protection. The power of wired and wireless charging is 30W and 5W, respectively. The US market version will get a barometer. The software platform is the Android 13 operating system.

Price and when to expect

The cost of Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is $800-900 depending on the modification. Sales in China will begin on July 5, 2023. Prices for the global version will be announced later.
