One of the standouts from this week’s PlayStation Showcase was the release of everything from Naughty Dog, which hopefully the studio will reveal more details about its multiplayer Last of Us game. But we may have to wait a little longer.

In a statement posted on Twitter, Naughty Dog said: “We are extremely proud of the work our studio has done so far. But as the development continues We have realized that the best thing for this game is to give it more game time.” With that in mind, we don’t seem to be hearing much about the game right now during the Summer Game Fest (where Naughty Dog showcased concept art from last year’s project) on June 8th. In a January blog post Studio co-president and The Last of Us co-creator Neil Druckmann said the studio will “Starting to give some details about our ambitious multiplayer game, The Last of Us.” During this year, that means the studio isn’t planning to release the mode in 2023.
