Nintendo announced the end of support for Pac-Man 99 – the game will also be removed from the store

Nintendo has revealed that Pac-Man 99 will be leaving the Switch Online subscription later this year. According to the company, the paid add-on, which contains three offline modes and a bunch of custom themes, will be playable even after the game is uninstalled, but all online features, including Pac-Man 99’s main mode.

According to information provided by Nintendo, the elimination schedule is as follows:

  • August 8 – the ability to buy custom themes will disappear;
  • September 8 – Pac-Man 99 Deluxe Pack and Pac-Man 99 Mode Unlock DLC will be removed from Nintendo eShop;
  • October 8 – The base game and free custom themes will be removed from the store, and online services will stop working.

Pac-Man Mode Unlock DLC costs $14.99 and includes three modes – CPU Battle, Blind Time Attack and Score Attack. All of these modes are standalone and playable after October 6th.
