North Korea has created a nuclear submarine drone. This statement was made by the State Central News Agency (KCNA).

What is known

The nuclear unmanned vehicle is designed to penetrate unnoticed into the operational waters of the enemy. After the explosion, a radioactive tsunami is formed, which destroys the strike groups and enemy seaports. The power of nuclear weapons is not specified.

The KCNA reports that the North Korean army has already successfully tested its drone. The exercise was observed by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The tests took place this week and began on March 21, 2023. The military submerged the drone under water, where it remained for 59 hours and 12 minutes. The photo below shows the movement of the drone near the surface of the water.

During the tests, the North Korean nuclear drone was at a depth of 80-150 meters. On March 23, 2023, it was blown up in Hongwon Bay off the east coast of the country and successfully destroyed the seaports of a mock enemy.
