Keeping up with the times: Quora service introduced its Poe chat bot

The user will be able to choose which of the 3 interlocutors will answer his questions.

Quora Q&A Platform introduced own chat bot Poe which answers the user’s questions with the help of other chatbots.

For now, Poe (Platform for Open Exploration) is only available on iOS, but it will roll out to all major platforms in the next few months. Poe is based on 3 different chatbots that you can switch between while working: Sage, Dragonfly (powered by OpenAI) and Claude (developed by the Anthropic startup, launched by former OpenAI employees).

Quora explained that it decided to launch Poe as a standalone product, independent of Quora itself, due to the fast pace of development and changes in AI.

According to users who have already tested Poe, chatbots have certain limitations. For example, Sage and Claude know nothing about events after 2021, and Dragonfly may simply refuse to answer some questions. Also, all 3 bots gave incorrect answers in some cases – perhaps this is one of the reasons why Quora does not integrate Poe into its services.

Along with the ubiquitous ban for the publication of materials created ChatGPT , Quora warned users that Poe is not perfect, so “in some cases it will be useful, in others it will not.” According to the company, it will take time for AI research to reach the elimination of most of the shortcomings of modern artificial intelligence systems.
