The German concern Rheinmetall, together with the company UkrOboronProm (UkrOboronProm), plans to produce armored vehicles in Ukraine.
What is known
This was announced by Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger to the German publication Bild. We are talking about Fuchs armored personnel carriers. When the production of armored personnel carriers will begin is still unknown.
At the first stages, the company will try to provide Ukraine with the most necessary. For this, UkrOboronProm and Rheinmetall recently set up a joint venture. By the way, according to Papperger, Ukraine is also interested in the production of modern tanks Panther KF51 and infantry fighting vehicles Lynx.

Fuchs is a German wheeled amphibious armored personnel carrier. It was adopted by the Bundeswehr in 1979. Initially, Daimler-Benz was involved in the development of the armored personnel carrier, but then production was transferred to Rheinmetall. The armored personnel carrier has various modifications and is in service with the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
