Samsung 2019 flagships will no longer receive One UI and Android updates

Samsung has decided to end the life cycle of three flagship smartphones in 2019 at once. But one model will continue to receive updates.

What is known

In 2019, the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S10 family took place. It includes the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10e models. All four smartphones received the Android 9.0 Pie operating system and the Snapdragon 855 / Exynos 9820 processor, depending on the region.

Four years after the premiere, the flagships received the Android 12 operating system and the proprietary One UI 4.1 shell. Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10+ will no longer receive software updates.

For unknown reasons, the life cycle of the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G has not yet come to an end. The smartphone will continue to receive updates. The same goes for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite. But this model stands apart. It was presented separately almost a year after the quartet of flagships and even received One UI 5.1 on Android 13.
