In mid-October, UNITED24, Monobank and volunteer Igor Lachenkov started raising funds for the purchase of “Shahedov Catchers” – this is the code name for the UAV countermeasure system, which is in service with NATO countries. And now the “catchers” finally arrived in Ukraine.

What is known

According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, a total of 6 systems for countering enemy drones have been purchased. These are radar and signal jamming systems that help identify and block enemy UAVs and release their own drones. The Fortem DroneHunter F700 is a radar-guided, AI-powered autonomous drone that flies at speeds of over 100 km/h, intercepting and landing drones.

“Shahedov Catchers” will protect the energy facilities of Ukraine from enemy drones.

The ministry also showed the training of operators at the training ground.
