The Armed Forces of Ukraine received the AN / TWQ-1 Avenger air defense system with Stinger missiles, the complex can destroy air targets at a distance of up to 5.5 km

The Armed Forces of Ukraine began to use the American anti-aircraft missile systems AN / TWQ-1 Avenger.

What is known

A video with one complex was published by the military analyst @UAWeapons. Apparently, the air defense system is now being tested at the training ground and will soon be on combat duty. By the way, the United States promised to transfer the AN / TWQ-1 Avenger to the Ukrainian Armed Forces back in November last year. In total, Ukraine was to receive 12 such complexes.

For those who are not in the know

The AN/TWQ-1 Avenger is an American anti-aircraft missile system developed by Boeing and General Electric. The air defense system is built on the Humvee chassis. It is designed to destroy air targets at a distance of up to 3.8 km in height and up to 5.5 km in range. The complex is equipped with two containers, each of which has four FIM-92 Stinger missiles. The complex also has a radar station and a 12.7 mm Browning M2 machine gun.
