Expal Systems has received an order from the Spanish army for the production and supply of 155 mm extended range ammunition. They are designed for towed and self-propelled howitzers.

What is known

The deal amounted to €40.5 million, making it the largest in recent years. Ammunition with a range of up to 40 km for M109A5 self-propelled howitzers and SIAC 155/52 towed artillery mounts will be delivered within a few months.

Also, the Spanish Ministry of Defense has signed another small contract with Expal Systems for the production and supply of conventional 155 mm artillery shells. The amount of this transaction is €6.2 million.
