The Ukrainian Air Force has opaquely hinted that on May 29, 2023, ballistic missiles over the Kyiv region were shot down by the MIM-104 Patriot air defense system.

On the night of May 29, the Air Force recaptured massive strike using Kh-101 / Kh-555 strategic cruise missiles and Shahed-131 / 136 kamikaze drones. However, a few hours later, Russia launched several more missiles in the Kyiv region, including ballistic ones.
How informed The General Staff, Air Defense Forces were able to shoot down a total of 11 out of 11 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and Iskander-K cruise missiles. Later, the speaker of the Air Force of Ukraine, Colonel Yuriy Ignat, commented on the situation.
He stated that Russian Iskander-M missiles were shot down in Kyiv. In this regard, “it can be concluded” that the American MIM-104 Patriot anti-aircraft missile system was used to destroy them.
