The American aircraft of the fifth generation Lockheed AC-130J Ghostrider for the first time in its short history went to South Korea. There he took part in the exercises.

A Lockheed Martin aircraft with tail number 5852 from the 4th Special Operations Squadron of the 1st Special Operations Aviation Wing, which is stationed in Florida, was transferred to the Republic of Korea. The exercises began last month and will end in March.
Some features of the AC-130J Ghostrider were demonstrated in the video. The footage shows the launch of GBU-39 aerial bombs, AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and AGM-76 Falcon anti-radar missiles.
In addition, the aircraft is equipped with a howitzer and a 105 mm and 30 mm cannon, respectively. Shooting from them was demonstrated at the end of the video.
The AC-130J Ghostrider is a ground support flying battery developed by Lockheed Martin. The aircraft was built on the basis of the MC-130J military transport aircraft. The United States adopted the Ghostrider in 2017 and will have 27 flying batteries by the end of 2024.
