This is no joke: the long-suffering remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is again in the early stages of production

It’s hard to believe, but the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, announced in 2020, is once again in early production.

What is known

After the Indian division of Ubisoft completely failed to update the cult game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the development of the game was transferred to the central office of Ubisoft Montréal.

But the game won’t be out anytime soon, as Ubisoft’s website revealed that the remake is still in the development and concept stages.

It is not yet clear whether Ubisoft Montréal will use the work of Indian colleagues, but if you recall the failed announcement trailer from Ubisoft Mumbai, then most likely the work will be started from scratch.
