The information was shared by the publication VOA, citing the words of Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder. The training program will start “around next week” in Germany. Ukrainian crews will arrive at the site in the coming days.

The United States initially announced the transfer of Abrams tanks in the M1A2 modification to Ukraine. Later, it became known that the APU will receive older versions M1A1 SA, which are in service with the US Army. Thanks to this, combat vehicles will be delivered this year, and not in 2024, as was originally said.
