WhatsApp is working on a new design for Android app switches based on Material You.
Over the past few weeks, WhatsApp has been working for improve the visual appearance of your android application and thus, it has incorporated innovations in the interface that they bring it closer to the design of the iOS version as a new bottom navigation bar either a new context menu for messages.
Well, now the app owned by Meta has taken another step in redesigning the interface of its Android app with the inclusion of elements based on Material You.
Material You comes to the WhatsApp app for Android
The guys from the specialized medium WABetaInfo discovered in the latest Beta of WhatsApp for Android, whose version number is 2.23.12.3, that the messaging app is working on a redesign of its switches based on Material Design 3, better known as Material You.
This is what the new WhatsApp interface for Android with Material You looks like
As you can see in the screenshot that we leave you on these lines, very soon the WhatsApp application for Android will have some new switches that give it a much more modern and attractive look. In this new design, when the switch is off, the switch shows a light gray indicator and outline while, when turned on, the outline disappears and the switch is dyed with the characteristic green color of WhatsApp.
This new design of the switches of the WhatsApp app for Android following the aesthetic lines of Material Design 3 still in development and will reach the testers of the Beta version in a future app update.
