For five years, China has not confirmed the use of H-6K strategic bombers to fly around Taiwan in 2018. And now, that has changed.

What is known

The authorities of the People’s Republic of China in 2018 sent nuclear bombers on a mission to fly around the island under cover of night. This was told by Lieutenant Colonel Zhang Bin (Zhang Bin) on the air of the state television channel CCTV.

The Taiwan Air Force immediately announced that Chinese strategic aircraft were approaching the borders. The PRC Ministry of Defense did not deny the mission, but refused to acknowledge the use of H-6K bombers.

Note that China has recently often sent its planes to fly around the island nation. Over the past year, the People’s Liberation Army has conducted several large-scale exercises involving fighter jets, nuclear bombers, aircraft carriers and other ships.
