IN new post on my blogpresenting the new season, Blizzard, in particular, announced that access to story missions will cost players $15.

What is known

Three story missions will be included in the season, but players will need to purchase the Overwatch 2: Invasion bundle for $15 to access them. In addition to access to missions, you will also receive 1,000 in-game currency, the legendary “Sojourn” skin, and permanent access to “Sojourn” as a playable character after completing story missions.

The announcement was a disappointment to players, especially after Blizzard announced last month that it was canceling the “Hero” PvE mode, in which players would defend cities from invading robots in exchange for new attack customization options and modifications.

Hero Mode was one of the main features that Blizzard highlighted during Overwatch 2’s official announcement back in 2019, attaching to it the value of story-based PvE content.
