A remake and rethinking of the detective game Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened from the Ukrainian studio Frogwares has been released.

The aggregators published the ratings of specialized experts and, unfortunately, they are not as high as expected.

At the time of writing on Metacritic the highest score for the PS5 version is 76 points, the PC version has 74 points, and the Xbox Series version has 75 points. On OpenCritic the average score corresponds to 77 points.

Critics agree that the remake of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened surpasses the original 2007 game and successfully combines elements of horror from the works of H.F. Lovecraft (Howard Ph. Lovecraft) with detective stories Arthur C. Doyle (Arthur Conan Doyle).

Of the minuses, reviewers noted slightly monotonous gameplay, a small number of additional tasks and technical problems present.

Overall, this is a good game for fans of Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes) and fans of games from Frogwares.
