Perhaps the British studio Creative Assembly is working on a Total War strategy series in the setting of ancient Egypt.

What is known

At the developer’s site, attentive users of the Reddit forum discovered reference to the unannounced Total War: Pharaoh game. Note that the name of the game has been removed from the site Total War shortly after the publication of the information, but the screenshot remained.

The developers have not hinted at the possibility of releasing such a project, but given the huge variety of settings of their games and the numerous requests from gamers to release Total War about Egypt, the official announcement of Pharaoh will probably take place soon.
