Philips has introduced two new monitors based on OLED panels. New items have replenished the Evnia 8000 series.
What is known
The Evnia 34M2C8600 is equipped with a curved 10-bit WQHD OLED display with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. The diagonal is 34”, and the refresh rate is 175 Hz. Response time – 0.1 ms. The matrix has a brightness of 450 nits, 99.3% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, 121.3% NTSC coverage, 148.8% sRGB and 97.8% Adobe RGB.
Philips equipped the monitor with two HDMI 2.0 connectors, one DP 1.4, USB-C with support for 9W, USB-B and four USB-A. The novelty also received a KVM switch that allows you to use a monitor with two computers, and two speakers with a total power of 10 watts.
The more advanced Philips Evnia 42M2N8900 monitor also received a 10-bit OLED panel (flat), but the diagonal increased to 42 “and the resolution to 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K ULTRA HD). The frame rate is an unusual 138 Hz, the response time is 0.1 ms, the DCI-P3 color gamut is 98.5%, NTSC is 110.3%, sRGB is 131.3%, and Adobe RGB is 93.6%.
The power of each of the two speakers has increased from 5 watts to 10 watts. Each supports DTS technology. The set of interfaces is the same as in the more compact model, but HDMI 2.0 has been replaced with HDMI 2.1. A KVM switch is also included.
Price and when to expect
The Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 has a MSRP of £1299 and sales start in February. Philips Evnia 42M2N8900 is priced at £1499 and is already on sale.
