The Chinese corporation BBK Electronics leaves Germany in its entirety. This is due to a patent dispute with the Finnish company Nokia.

A realme spokesperson confirmed that the brand is restricting business operations in Germany. At the same time, the company has no plans to leave Europe yet. Investments will be directed to other countries in the region. Smartphone owners in Germany will be able to continue to enjoy software and service support.

As for the lawsuit, it was filed by Nokia in 2022. The legendary Finnish brand accused competitors of using 4G and 5G signal processing technology without paying royalties. Earlier, OPPO said that Nokia is demanding unreasonably high royalties.
