Adding nest Aware Subscription
The first step is signing up for a Google account. Once you have an account, you can subscribe to Nest Aware. There are two subscription levels – Basic and Multi-Camera – so that you can choose the one best for your needs. It’s also important to note that if you already own a Nest Cam or DropCam, you’ll need to sign up for a separate subscription with them in order to get the full benefits of the Nest Aware service.
To subscribe to Nest Aware, head on over to Google Store. Once you’re there, you’ll need a Google account – if you don’t have one, that’s easy to sign up for. Once your new account is created, go back to Google Store and click on nest aware. From here it will show your options for Basic or Multi-Camera subscriptions. You can upgrade your subscription at any time in case there are any available rebates or savings for an extended period of subscription time. Subscriptions are paid annually and provide free upgrades of all feature releases throughout their term as long as you remain a paying customer.
They may also use information about your visits over time and across our sites and apps in order display advertisements both on our sites/apps as well as on other sites/apps they control. These companies include Google AdSense, which also targets ads based on personal information even if you don’t have a Google account.
Click continue, create an account or sign into your current account. Once you’re ready, click on next. The next screen will show you what happens when you subscribe to Nest Aware. It’ll explain everything from adding features like person alerts to Google Drive backup of your videos and how it can help solve crime by contributing new video evidence with other neighborhood cameras.
You’ll also see that subscriptions come with 30 days free of cloud storage so you can use it right away before signing up for your first billing cycle which starts automatically after those 30 days are up. This way there are no surprises in your bank account and you have time to set up all of your devices before being charged anything at all.
Once you’re ready to subscribe, enter your billing information. If you choose Basic, Google will charge $5/mo automatically unless you change it manually by going into your account settings. For Multi-Camera plans, there’s an annual fee of $50/year or a monthly charge of $5/mo whichever is greater. You can continue through checkout as a guest or use your PayPal account if it’s already linked with your Google account.
