We are talking about a contract worth about $ 285,000,000. It will include one AN / MPQ-64F1 Sentinel radar, a fire control center, an unknown number of launchers, secure communications systems and other equipment. The purchase of weapons has already been approved by the Defense Cooperation and Security Agency of the United States Department of Defense (DSCA). The contract will be handled by Raytheon. Unfortunately, there is no timeline for the completion of the deal yet.

For those who are not in the know
NASAMS is a mobile air defense system for destroying maneuvering targets at low and medium altitudes. The complex was developed in the early 90s by the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defense with the participation of the American Raytheon. The air defense system entered service with the Norwegian Armed Forces in 1994. The range of AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles is 20-40 km, and the maximum height is 20 km. The cost of one such battery is about $65,000,000. By the way, the Armed Forces of Ukraine now have two NASAMS batteries.
