After several weeks of training, the Ukrainian military is completing a training program on the use of Leopard 2 tanks in Germany.
What is known
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Germany, writes NDR. Deliveries of tanks will begin this month. In total, Germany will transfer 18 Leopard 2 tanks in the modern A6 modification to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition to Germany, Ukraine is also expecting 4 Leopard 2A4 tanks from Spain and 3 Leopard 2A5 tanks from Portugal in March. By the way, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already received 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks. They were handed over by Poland.

The Leopard 2 is a main battle tank developed by the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. Leopard 2 is the successor to the successful development of the Leopard 1 battle tank. The Leopard 2 has many modifications and is used by the armed forces of Austria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain and Turkey. A total of 3200 tanks of this model were produced.
