Not much time has passed since the last patch for Diablo II: Ressuracted, and the developer is already preparing changes for the next one. And they will be quite serious – they will affect the mercenaries, the rating mode and will also adjust the balance of the character.

Blizzard notes that the latest character balance changes were reflected in patch 1.13c on March 23, 2010. In eleven years, there will be new changes, but no drastic changes should be expected.

  • Amazon – Melee skills will make it less dependent on bonuses from other talents. The skills “Pierce” and “Best Defense” will be strengthened to increase their usefulness. The shooting will be more powerful – for this, the corresponding skills will be corrected.

  • Assassin – The mechanics of charging skills and finishing moves, as well as traps will be improved.

  • Barbarian – it will be easier for this class to fight in a distant battle, because the skills “Double Throw” and “Master of Throwing Weapons” will be corrected. In addition, the system of bonuses will be changed and melee combat techniques will be strengthened.

  • Druid – A fiery branch of the druid’s scan skills to make them stronger. “Arctic Wind” can be directed – as long as the skill focuses on only one target. Companions of the druid will be raised health points, damage and bonuses.

  • Necromancer – Developers will trick unpopular courtyards to make them more useful. For example, they will increase the elemental harm of skeletal magicians. The bone skills will also improve.

  • Paladin – the effectiveness of combat auras will be increased, and the Thorns skill will be adjusted so that it continues to inflict sufficient damage at high levels.

  • Sorceress – defensive ice techniques will give more useful bonuses, and spells of branches of electricity and fire will strengthen. As with the Druid, the Inferno skill will become more controllable.

The changes will affect other aspects of the game:

  • At the beginning of 2022, a rating mode with four variations is being conducted. By participating in such modes, gamers will be able to open runewords, however, they will not work outside of rating battles – this opportunity will appear only after the end of the season.

  • According to developers, most often gamers travel with a desert mercenary. So the other three will improve.

  • The Horadrim Cube will receive new recipes, additional words from the runes will appear. Insufficiently effective item sets will be reworked.
