Teledyne Flir and Primordial Labs announced that Black Hornet drones now support voice command control. The voice control system is called Anura Speech-to-Action.
What is known
The Black Hornet is a miniature drone from Teledyne. Primordial Labs has developed a voice control system. The company says it will make it easier for the operator to control the drone.

The new technology was demonstrated at the SOF Week conference. The operator was able to launch the drone and change the flight direction with voice commands. He also managed to get the Black Hornet to fly along a pre-created route.
The developers note that there is no need to learn special complex terms to control the drone. Voice commands are based on frequently used phrases, so operators without special training can control the drone.

Another feature of the new technology is whisper recognition. Primordial Labs also stated that its development is compatible not only with the Black Hornet, but also with other unmanned aerial vehicles.
