New chatbot for dating CupidBot will take the phone from a girl for 3 messages

Former Tinder employees have created an AI that meets girls without the participation of men and makes dates on its own.

Former Tinder employees introduced cupidbot – a chatbot that uses artificial intelligenceto seduce women on behalf of men who don’t want to waste time talking.

CupidBot will help men who have problems communicating and seducing women. The development team assures that their algorithm can “arrange dates without opening any applications.” CupidBot will like and text you on online dating platforms and will knock out a few dates a week. CupidBot service costs $15 for 3 months.

AI selects profiles that suit the user, and then the chatbot starts a conversation with the selected woman. To do this, AI relies on language models from OpenAI (creators ChatGPT) and the history of encounters and coincidences. The chatbot can support over 100 different speech tones, including direct, humorous, poetic, and even aggressive.

When a candidate is found, the service informs the man that he has found a suitable profile, and when the date is set, sends the man an SMS with all the details. The platform can even record an appointment on an Apple or Google calendar and avoid matches with a man’s acquaintances if he gives access to his Instagram* and Facebook* accounts. AI also knows how to bypass “Attention whores” – women who just want to get attention.

CupidBot promises inexperienced men to get “a few dates a week without doing anything.” Obviously, this is more about “one-off adventures” than about finding love. In the examples of communication between a woman and an AI, the chatbot receives a phone number after three messages.

However, CupidBot poses a major transparency issue, as the women are unaware that they are communicating with the robot. Defending their controversial service, CupidBot developers say straight men are at a disadvantage on dating apps because it takes the average man so long to find even one date a month.

The authors of CupidBot note that dating apps make money on constant involvement and therefore do not put the interests of users in the first place. This elaborate system is especially unfavorable for a man who is looking for women for real dates. Given the real psychological impact that dating success or failure has on young people, especially young men, Tinder is “pure social evil.” The real goal of the CupidBot developers is to force Tinder to rethink the way it works and make dating easier.
