Windows 11 gets even better: new preview build adds AI Copilot, 7-Zip and RAR support
Windows 11 build 23493 is being released on the Insider Dev channel.
Microsoft has released a new preview build of Windows 11 to Windows Insider members in the Dev channel. Build 22494 contains a number of new features and improvements, including support for AI Copilot, 7-Zip and RAR formats, and a new settings home page.
AI Copilot is an intelligent assistant that can help users with various tasks such as searching for information, creating documents, editing photos and videos, learning new skills, and more. AI Copilot is integrated into the taskbar and can be activated by voice or keyboard. Users can ask him questions, ask for advice or give commands in natural language.
7-Zip and RAR are popular file compression formats now supported in File Explorer in Windows 11. Users can view, extract and create archives of these formats without having to install additional software. Also added the ability to encrypt and password protect archives 7-Zip.
The new settings home page offers an easier and more intuitive way to access key system settings.
