On September 23, Apple’s Online Store launches in India

-

Since 2017, we have been hearing about a potential official Apple online presence in India. Then last month we got more reports from Bloomberg mentioning that in September Apple would launch its online store in India and it turns out that was right. The Cupertino giant has released a press release announcing that from September 23 onwards Apple’s online store will be going live in India.

Apple celebrates the first-ever first-party store in the country with this. The company used to rely on third-party stores and registered resellers to distribute their goods in India before that. But now consumers should expect improved customer support, better product setup choices and a host of other premium experiences that Apple provides worldwide at store locations.

“We are proud to be expanding in India and want to do whatever we can to help our clients and their communities,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s Retail+People SVP. “We know that our users rely on technology to stay linked, learn and tap into their imagination, and by taking the Apple Store to India online, we give our customers Apple’s very best at this crucial time,” he added.

Even with the official Apple Store online, consumers can finally be able to customise MacBooks and iMacs to their needs — something that wasn’t possible before. Plus, funding options, a trade-in scheme, student discounts, and Apple Care+ will be available from the online store.

Apple will also start holding Apple Today online sessions led by local creative professionals beginning in October. In addition , the company will begin selling personalised gift wrapping and gravure options on AirPods, iPads, and Apple Pencil during the holiday season.
