
The Armed Forces of Ukraine received another batch of South Korean K2 Black Panther tanks. The contract for the supply of combat vehicles was signed last year.
What is known
The Polish Ministry of Defense ordered the K2 Black Panther tanks and K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers for $3.4 billion and $2.4 billion, respectively. Deliveries began in December last year and will last until 2026.
The first batch included 15 tanks. They were transferred to the 1st tank battalion of the 15th mechanized brigade, which is part of the 16th mechanized division.

The new batch consists of seven K2 Black Panther units. They will go into service with the 1st tank battalion of the 20th mechanized brigade, which is also part of the 16th mechanized division.
In total, Poland ordered 180 K2 Black Panther tanks. Of these, 22 combat vehicles have already been delivered. It is expected that all 180 tanks under the $3.4 billion contract will be part of the 16th Mechanized Division.
