Poland is the only country in Central Europe that has a state border with Russia. And she intends to strengthen it with modern military equipment.

The 16th mechanized division received modern weapons and will deploy them near the border with the Kaliningrad region. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Poland, Mariusz Błaszczak, who on the eve took part in the military oath of soldiers of voluntary military service and the Territorial Defense Forces.
The head of the defense department noted that Poland plans to organize new military units to replace those that were liquidated by 2015. In addition, the Polish Army has already begun to receive new equipment.
In particular, the 16th mechanized division will deploy South Korean K2 Black Panther tanks and K9 Thunder artillery mounts near the border with Russia. They will also be joined by the first M142 HIMARS highly mobile artillery rocket systems, which were ordered in 2019.
Mariusz Blashchak stressed that the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, wants to restore the evil empire, so he attacks his neighbors. The task of the Polish army is to maximize the strengthening of the country’s armed forces so that Russia does not dare to attack.
