Reliance Jio has announced a bunch of new broadband fibre plans beginning at Rs. 399 (plus tax) per month. Both plans have reportedly ‘symmetric rates for uploading and downloading,’ and offer unrestricted voice calling. Many of the more costly plans often offer free access to a variety of OTT streaming applications.
They earlier mentioned Rs. 399 option will deliver speeds of up to 30Mbps when it comes to the plans themselves, while the Rs. 699 plan will provide speeds of up to 100Mbps. The next two plans would deliver speeds of up to 300Mbps and 500Mbps, priced at Rs. 1,499 and Rs. 2,499, respectively. The final two plans would provide Gigabit (1Gbps) connectivity, respectively for Rs. 3,499 and Rs. 8,499 per month.
It is worth noting that Jio advertises his new plans as ‘completely unlimited,’ but for at least some of the plans there is a FUP (Fair Use Policy). Whereas the 500Mbps package has a 4,000 GB FUP, respectively the Gigabit plans come with 7,500 GB and 15,000 GB FUPs.
In addition , the company has revealed a new deal for new customers to ‘no-condition 30-day free trial.‘ This trial period will provide users with speeds up to 150Mbps, free voice calls and a 4 K set-top box with 10 OTT applications, including Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, Zee5, Sony Liv, Voot, Alt Balaji, Sun NXT, Shemaroo, Lionsga-te Play and Hoichoi.
Notice that if you want this option, you’ll have to pay a refundable security deposit of Rs. 2,500. You can also opt out of the 4 K STB and pay only Rs. 1,500 for a regular connexion to a generic Wi-Fi modem, but in that case you would lose out on the free OTT software.
