The asymmetric online horror game Dead by Daylight turns seven years old, and on this occasion, the game developers held a stream where they talked about plans for the development of the franchise.
What is known
Game designers from Behavior Interactive reported that in addition to large-scale updates to Dead by Daylight, several new games in this universe are in development.
One of the projects is being handled by Midwinter Entertainment, which has recently been part of Behavior Interactive. It will be a four-player PvE team game set in the Entity’s Realm.
The second project is even more interesting: it is being developed by the well-known studio Supermassive Games, the author of thrillers and horror films Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology and The Quarry. It will be a single-player story game with a non-linear and intense storyline and freedom of action. Probably, like other Supermassive Games games, it will be a project in the “interactive movie” genre. More details about the development will be announced at the end of 2023.
In addition, Behavior Interactive is working with Atomic Monster and Blumhouse on a full-length adaptation of Dead by Daylight, but the film is still in the early stages of production.
And already in June, fans of Dead by Daylight will be able to purchase the first issue of the comic book of the same name.
