Stadia Works on Uplay+ Support, Adding Final Touchs to In-App Messaging

-

Google Stadia has been introducing new updates all of the time. Previously, we’ve seen the service bring on screen touch controls, Android TV support, and more. Today, a new APK teardown shows that the app is working on adding UPlay+ support as well as adding the final keys to the message. We’ve also seen Google focus on adding notifications to the Stadia app on Android before, and this new report expands on that.

The APK teardown was carried out by the people at 9to5Google and they found evidence of even more progress in the development of messaging within Stadia.

The following strings have been contained in the software code:

Messaging

Title on the boarding screen that welcomes the user to the feature. Welcome to the Stadia Message.

Title on the boarding screen that says the feature is now available. Messaging on the Stadia is now possible.

There are also some strings linked to other messaging functions. Users are likely to be able to monitor who can (or can not) give them a message. There are also strings for other explanations and descriptions related to the message.

Definition indicating why messaging has to be installed on the ios app or website before it is used. To enable chat, you will need to visit the settings or the Messages tab in the social menu of the mobile app or stadia.com to set up a few things.

Description illustrating the privacy setting of the message. Choose who can give you a letter. You can change it again later in your privacy settings.

Title on the boarding screen that helps users to set who can send a message to them. Privacy messaging

Description describing the privacy effect of message scanning on anti-abuse initiatives. With respect to your privacy, be aware that Stadia will temporarily store and process messages sent to identify possible violations and include optional resources such as toxic language philtres.

The report also notes that Stadia would also encourage you to send messages to wider groups. This would certainly prove helpful to someone who has a lot of mates at Stadia.

UPlay+

9to5Google has found a string that points at the inclusion of UPlay+ to Stadia. In case you don’t remember, UPlay+ is a premium programme that allows you access to all Ubisoft games without any extra costs. Bringing this over to Stadia would prove beneficial for players who prefer Ubisoft franchises, enabling them to enjoy certain games without having to personally buy them.

Other Features and Changes

Apart from all that, the teardown reveals that Google is working on a new invite system for Stadia. The new system is more interactive, and the people you invite will be able to add you immediately as a friend.

Definition on the website to welcome friends to Stadia. Anyone who receives your invitation can see your Stadia Tag, and friends who enter your invitation can give you a friend’s invite to start playing with you right away. Know, your friends don’t need a Stadia Controller to get off.

It also appears that Stadia is working on the introduction of online games on YouTube. The teardown reveals that the developers are working on adding restricted scene recordings to Stadia.

This function will immediately black out the screen or screen capture when you reach a restricted scene in a game. It’s useful when it helps to keep surprises from being unintentionally downloaded.
