
Poland continues to arm itself, announcing a new big contract.
What is known
According to the Ministry of Defense of the country, Poland will purchase 1,400 Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles for its troops. The contract will be implemented by local companies Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and Huta Stalowa Wola. By the way, this is the largest military purchase of Poland over the past 50 years.

The Ministry of Defense does not disclose the cost of the contract, but presumably, we are talking about an amount of more than $ 10,000,000,000. Poland will receive the first BMPs this week. They plan to use for tests.

The Borsuk IFV boasts a ZSSW-30 module with a Bushmaster MK 44/S cannon, a 7.62 mm UKM-2000C machine gun, and a dual Spike-LR anti-tank guided missile launcher. The crew of the BMP Borsuk consists of three people. The vehicle is capable of carrying up to 10 infantrymen. The infantry fighting vehicle is powered by an MTU 8V-199-TE20 engine with 720 horsepower. Thanks to him, Borsuk can reach speeds of up to 65 km / h on the highway.
