The machine was created at the end of the last century specifically for the armed forces of Norway. They ordered 22 units of NM189 Ingeniørpanservogn which were produced and delivered by 2021. The vehicle’s arsenal includes smoke grenades and a 12.7 mm machine gun.
Norway sent three units of NM189 Ingeniørpanservogn to Ukraine in March this year. Together with engineering vehicles, the Armed Forces received Leopard 2A4NO tanks.
